Bhai Daljit Singh Granted Bail in Mansa Case

Chandigarh, Punjab (February 18, 2012) – After serving two and a half years in India’s prisons on various charges, Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu has finally been granted bail. Arrangements have been made for his release late next week after judge Alok Singh granted him bail in the Mansa court case regarding the murder of a Dera Sacha Sauda premi, Lilli Kumar.
Bittu and several aides were arrested in relation to this case and were kept in prison for two and a half years though the prosecution was unable to produce a single witness to testify against him. The fourth false case registered against him in several years, Bhai Bittu was earlier denied bail in this case although it was granted in relation to the other charges. Though granted bail, his trial continues despite the despicable lack of evidence implicating him in any illegal activity.

ਅੱਜ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਉਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਲੇਖੇ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਸੰਤੋਖੇ ਕੈਟ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਧਿਆ ਸੀ,,ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੰਤੋਖਾ ਕੈਟ ਇਜ਼ਹਾਰ ਆਲਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਿਆ ਉਹ ਗੁੰਡਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਨਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਨਹੀ ਛੱਡੀ,,,ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਭਾਈ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੱਪੀ ਨੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਕੇ ਠੋਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਈ ਪੱਪੀ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਭਾਈ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁੱਖੀ ਵੀ ਸੀ,ਸੈਕੜੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੰਤੋਖਾ ਕੈਟ ਠੋਕਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਸੰਤੋਖੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਨੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੀ ਸ਼ੈ ਸੀ,,ਕਈ ਯਭਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਬਈ ਭਾਪੇ ਡਰਪੋਕ ਨੇ,ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਜਾਤੀਪਾਤੀ ਫੁਕਰੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਭੁਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਦਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਬੇਦੀ,ਤ੍ਰੇਹਣ,ਭੱਲੇ ਤੇ ਸੋਢੀ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਭਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਗੋਤਾ ਹਨ,,ਇਹ ਲਿਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਜੀ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਲਿਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਭਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭੰਡੀ ਕਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਸੀ ਭੁਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਵੀ ਫਿਰ ਇਹੀ ਸਨ!!!ਖੈਰ ਇਨਾਂ ਕੌੜੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਾਫੀ ਮੰਗਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੋਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,,ਦਰਸਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੀ ਛੱਤੀ ਖੂਹੀ ਚੌਂਕ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਈ ੱਪਪੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ,,ਇਹ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੱਕਾ ਸਮਰਥਕ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸੀ,,ਪੱਪੀ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਸੁੱਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਅਕਸਰ ਹੀ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਤੂੰ ਤੀਜੇ ਪੁਤ ਬੌਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲ ਲੈ,ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੋਗੇ,,ਪੱਪੀ ਨੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਉਸਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸੀ,,ਇਸਦਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੈਕਚਰਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਵੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ,,ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੈਕਚਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ"ਸਿੰਘ ਗਰਜ਼" ਦੇ ਪੰਨਾ ੨੪੦ ਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਹਾਲ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ੧੬-੭ ੧੯੮੩ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਕਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਤ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੱਪੀ ਦੀ ਝੂਠੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਖੇਧੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ,,ਪਤਾ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਕੇਸ ਪਾਏ ਸੀ,,ਸੰਤ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪੱਪੀ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ੧੭ ਸਾਲ ਆ ਤੇ ਕੇਸ ਵੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ੧੭ ਹੀ ਪਾਏ ਆ,ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਤਰੀਕ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਹੱਥਕੜੀਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੱਥ ਕੱਢਕੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿਚੌ ਭੱਜਕੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਗਿਆਂ,,ਸੰਤ ਬੜੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਏ ਕ੍ਿਹਹਦੇ, " ਆਂਹ ਭਾਈ ਅਮਰੀਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਠਾਹਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ੨ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ ੪ ਸਾਲ ਜੇਲ ਬੈਠੇ ਰਹੇ ਤੇ ਆਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਪੱਪੀ ਦੇਖਲੋ,੧੭ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ,ਸਿਰਫ ੧੭ ਦਿਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਤੇ ਸਤਾਰਵੇ ਦਿਨ ਭੱਜ ਆਇਆਂ ਨਾਲੇ ੧੩ ਪੁਲਸੀਏ ਮੁਅਤਲ ਕਰਾਤੇ" ਇੰਝ ਸੱੰਤ ਪੱਪੀ ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸੀ,,ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪੱਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੱਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਆਸਣ ਲਵਾ ਦਿਤਾ,,ਇਸਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੱਪੀ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਰ ਖਾਣ ਲੱਗਪੇ,,ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਭਾਈ ਉਜਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਲ ਪੱਪੀ ਦੀ ਤਕਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ,,,ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੇ ਜਦ ਪੱਪੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਦਿਲਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਾਈ ਉਜਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਅਗੋਂ ਹੱਤੀ ਪੈਗਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਪੱਪੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ੱਪਗ ਲੱਥ ਗਈ,ਲੰਗਰ ਹਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਇਸ ਕੁਟਮਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ.ਦਿਲਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਰਮਿਮਧੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਈ ਅਮਰੀਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰੋਕਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਪਰ ਪੱਪੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਗੱਲ ੰੰਨਕੇ ਅਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਫੀ ਮੰਗਣ ਗਏ ਸਾਂ ਪਰ ਅਗੋਂ ਆਹ ਹਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ,ਭਾਈ ਉਜਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ,,ਸੰ ਰੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਗਏ..ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਉਜਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਉਥੌਂ ਭਜਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਨਾ ੱਲਗੇ..ਫਿਰ ਜ਼ਜ਼ਬਾਤੀ ਹੋਕੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ, "ਦਿਲਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ,ਪੱਗ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਨਹੀ,ਮੇਰੀ ੱਲਥੀ ਹੈ,,ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ ਕਰਨਾ,,ਤੇ ਆਹ ਲਵੋ,ਮੈਂ ਇੰਨਾ ਈ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ" ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੀ ਦਸਤਾਰ ਲਾਹਕੇ ਸ.ਦਿਲਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਟਿਕਾਤੀ,,ਗੀਝੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਨੋਟ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਦਸਤਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਅੜੂੰਗ ਦਿਤੇ,ਨਾਲੇ ਪਰਲ-ਪਰਲ ਹੰਝੂ ਵਗੀ ਜਾਣ,ਸੰਤ ਬਹਾ ਜ਼ਜ਼ਬਾਤੀ ਹੋਏ,ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸੰਤ ਐਨੇ ਜ਼ਜ਼ਬਾਤੀ ਹੋਗੇ,,( ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਸਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਜ਼ਜ਼ਬਾਤੀ ਹੋਗਿਆਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੀਲੀ ਦਸਤਾਰ ਜਿਉਂ ਦੀ ਤਿਊ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ)...ਖੈਰ ਸਮਾਂ ਬੀਤਦਾ ਗਿਆਂ,,ਜੂਨ ੧੯੮੪ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਈ ਪੱਪੀ ਵੀ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਹੋਗਿਆ,,ਜੋਧਪੁਰ ਜੇਲ ਵਿਚ ਕੈਦ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਅੱਗ ੱਲਗ ਗਈ ਜਦ ਸੁਣਿਆਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਸੰਤੋਖੇ ਕੈਟ ਨੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਢਿਹਆ ਹੈ,,ਭਾਈ ੱਪਪੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ,ਭਰਾ,ਪਿਤਾ ਇਥੌ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਬੀ.ਏ.ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਭੈਣ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕੈਟ ਸੰਤੋਖੇ ਨੇ ਅਗਵਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਜਾਇਜ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ,,ਭਾਈ ੱਪਪੀ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਬੌਬੀ ਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੁਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਖੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਨਮਕ ਮੰਡੀ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਕੈਟ ਸੰਤੋਖੇ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰੇ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਭਜਾ ਭਜਾ ਕੁੱਟਿਆ,,ਸੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੁਚੜ ਪੁਲਸੀਏ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕਹਿਰ ਢਾਹਿਆ..ਜੋਧਪੁਰ ਜੇਲ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁਖੀ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਤੜੈ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਹ ਨਹੀ ਚੱਲਦੀ,,ਖੈਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਜੋਧਪੁਰ ਜੇਲ ਵਿਚੌ ਸ਼ਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਿਹਾਈਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਸੰਤੋਖੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆਂ," ਸੁਣਿਆ,ਪੱਪੀ ਜੋਧਪੁਰੋਂ ਆਗਿਆ"..ਉਹ ਘਬਰਾ ਗਿਆ, "ਹੈ! Sikhs Protest Against RSS Head Of Sri Guru Granth Sahib University

Amritsar- Various Sikh bodies today sought a removal of RSS Dr Jasbir Ahluwalia from the post of vice-chancellor of Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib.

Representatives of Dal Khalsa, SAD (Panch Pardani) and Damdami Taksal today submitted a protest letter addressed to Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar, president SGPC who is also the Chancellor of the University. In the absence of Makkar, his OSD Manjit Singh received the copy of the memo at SGPC headquarters.

Describing Dr Ahluwalia as a controversial personality, who was charged for molesting the student girl during his stint as VC, Punjabi University, the leaders of Panthic groups said he was not fit to occupy esteem post because of his tainted past. Notably, Dr Ahluwalia was removed from Vice-Chancellorship of Punjabi University Patiala on serious charges.

The letter reads, “It is inevitable that deep religious sanctity is associated with a university as the name of the University is in the name of Guru Granth Sahib”. It further states, notwithstanding the fact that the charges against VC were proved in a court or not, undoubtedly his name carries a stigma in the eyes of society. Therefore he cannot command the full respect of all his students, particularly girl students.

The letter urged the Chancellor to appoint any morally upright personality with clean image as VC of the University so that young students and the community can look up to him as a role model.

The letter pointed out about alleged serious misappropriation of funds by Dr Ahluwalia during his tenure as head of Guru Gobind Singh Foundation, Chandigarh.

Seeking Dr. Ahluwalia departure from the University, the memo held Badals and Jathedar Makkar responsible for the crisis generated due to appointment of Dr Ahluwalia.

"ਪਟਿਆਲੇ ਜੱਜ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ,ਦੱਸ ਮਾਤਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਦਵਾਂ ਦਿਆਂ,ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ?? ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਪੁੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਚਣ ਆਈ ਆਂ?" ਮਾਤਾ ਪਰੀਤਮ ਕੌਰ ਰੋਹ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲੀ,ਭਾਂਵੇ ਰੋਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਉਹਦੇ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਠੱਲੇ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ,ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਬੁਕਲ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆ, "ਬੱਸ,ਹੁਣ ਰੋਣਾ ਨਹੀ,ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤ ਈ ਆਂ,ਗੱਲ ਕਰ"ਪਰ ਉਹ ਹੁਭਕੀ ਰੋਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ,ਉਹਦੇ ਦਰਦ ਤੇ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਭਰੇ ਬੋਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ,ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹਿੱਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੀਰ ਖੁਭਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ,ਕੋਲ ਬੈਠੇ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਦੋਸਤ ਸਰਵਕਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੈਰਾਨ-ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਨ। ਕੋਲ ਕੁਰਸੀ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਬਿਰਧ ਬਾਪ,ਕਮਿਕਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਠ ਬਣਿਆ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ,,ਉਹਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਝੁਣਝੁਣੀਆਂ ਆਂ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸੀ।ਮਾਤਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਕਤਲ ਹੋਏ ਪੁੱਤ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਦੋਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, " ਇਨਾਂ ਬੁਚੜਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤ ਮਾਰਿਆ..ਪੁੱਤ!…..ਪੁੱਤ ਕਿਤੇ ਐਵੇ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਆ..ਮੇਰਾ ਕੱਲਾ-ਕੱਲਾ ਪੁੱਤ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਇਨਾਂ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ..ਚਾਹਲ ਸੀ ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਪੀ, , ਸ਼ਿਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਤੇ ਪਿੰਕੀ ਕੈਟ.ਇਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਰਿਆਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ..ਹਾਏ ਪੁੱਤਾ..ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮਾੜਾ ਲਫਜ਼ ਈ ਬੋਲ ਦਿੰਦਾ..ਮੈਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਬਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਬੋਲਿਆ.ਪਰ ਕਿਥੇ ਪੁੱਤ! ਸ਼ਰੀਫ ਐਨਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਮ੍ਹੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜੀਭ ਹੀ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ,ਕਦੇ ਉਚੀ ਨਾ ਬੋਲਣਾ,ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਖਿਝਣਾ,ਟਰੱਕ ਚਲਾਂਉਦਾ ਸੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੋਨਾ,,,ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਅ ਹੋਣਾ ਬਈ ਆਊਗਾ,ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਕਿਥੇ??ਬੇੜੀ ਬਹਿਜੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੁਕਰਿਆ,ਨਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਦਿਖਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਇਨਾਂ ਬੁਚੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਈ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਨਜੈਜ ਬੰਦਾ ਮਾਰੀਦਾ.."

ਪਿੰਡ ਚੌਕੀਮਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਸੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹਰਬੰਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਘਰੀਂ ਜਾਕੇ ਵੀਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੀ ਭੇਜੀ ਮੱਦਦ ਦੇਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪੁਜੇ।ਅਸੀਂ ੧੦ ਹਜਾਰ ਹਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਮਨਸ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ।ਵੈਸੈ ਵੀ ਇਨਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਸੀਮਿਤ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਲਈਆਂ ਨੇ।ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਪਿਆਰ-ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਭੁੱਖੇ ਨੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਹੋਰ ਲੋੜ ਐ? ਤਾਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਰੀਤਮ ਕੌਰ ਹੌਂਸਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ, " ਨਾ ਪੁਤ,ਇਹ ਵੀ ਤੈਂ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਕਿਹਾ,ਤਾਂ ਵਾ,ਨਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜੱਜ ਜੋਰ ਲਾਂਉਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ,ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਪਿੰਕੀ ਕੈਟ,ਚਾਹਲ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਪੁਲਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਗੇ ਇਥੇ,ਜਿਹਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਆਪਾਂ ਮੁਕਦਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ,,ਪਿੰਕੀ ਕਰੇ ਬੀਬੀ ਥੋਨੂੰ ਰੋਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਭੁੱਖਾ ਨਹੀ ਮਰਨ ਦਿੰਦੇ,ਬੋਲ ਕੀ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ? ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਹ ਤੂੰ,ਆਇਆ ਵੱਡਾ,ਭਲੇਸਾ ਦੇਕੇ ਦਸਖਤ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ,ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਬਈ ਤੁਸੀ ਬੱਸ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਓ,ਪੈਸੇ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ,,ਪੁਤ! ਆਪਾਂ 'ਉਹਦਾ'ਮੁਲ ਵੱਟਣਾ ਸੀ ਕੋਈ? ਪੈਸੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਕਰੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ,ਮੈਂ ਪਿੰਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਆਜੂ? ਤੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਖਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤ ਨੂੰ ,ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਬਈ ਕੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਪੁੱਤ ਦਾ ਦੱਖ,ਤੂੰ ਨਿਕਲ ਇਥੋਂ,ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਇਥੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁਤ ਦਾ ਕਾਤਲ"

"ਪੁਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਲੇ ਆਹੀ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ,ਬੱਸ ਪੁੱਤ ਆ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰੋ ਮਿਲਣ,ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੱਦਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਤ ,ਲੁਧਿਆਣੇ ਆਲਾ ਦਲਜੀਤ ਸਿਹੁੰ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਵੀ ਮੱਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ,,ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਫੜਕੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਰਤ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੇ,ਦੁਖ ਤਾਂ ਆਹੀ ਆ ਬਈ ਇਹ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਨੇ! ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਖਿਆਲ ਰੱਖੀਂ ਪੁਤ,ਇਹ ਬੜੇ ਕੁਤੇ ਨੇ,ਤੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਠੀਕ ਆ ਪਰ ਇਹ ਨਹੀ ਜਰ ਸਕਦੇ,ਐਵੇ ਕੇਸ ਪਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ..ਪਰ ਅਸੀ ਆਪਦੀ ਕੌਮ ਤੋਂ ਲਵਾਂਗੇ ਜੋ ਲੈਣਾ,ਇਨਾਂ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਲੈਣਾ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਨਜੈਜ ਮਾਰੇ ਵਾ"।

ਮਾਸਟਰ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ, " ਮਾਤਾ,ਉਨਾਂ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਆ?"

ਮਾਤਾ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਬੋਲੀ, " ਇਹ ਤਰਸੇਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਭੂਆ ਦਾ ਪੁਤ ਜੋ ਸੀ,ਇੰਨਾਂ ਕਸੂਰ ਥੋੜਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ!"

ਦਰਅਸਲ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਰੀਤਮ ਕੌਰ ਜਗਰਾਂਓ ਏਰੀਏ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਭਾਈ ਤਰਸੇਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਂਉਕੇ ਦੀ ਸਕੀ ਭੂਆ ਹੈ। ਭਾਈ ਤਰਸੇਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਂਉਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਪੁਲਸ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਜਾਲ ਫੈਲਾਇਆ। ਚੌਕੀਮਾਨ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਾ ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਚਾਲੂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਪਰ ਜਦ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਤਰਸੇਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੇਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਧ ਵਿਚ ਜਹਿਰ ਪਾਕੇ ਦੇਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਦੀ ਘਰਵਾਲੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਸੇਮੇ ਨੇ ਦੁਧ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਾ,ਸਗੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਇਕਦਮ ਉਸ ਘਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ। ਪਿੰਡੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਫਿਰਨੀ ਤੇ ਸੇਮੇ ਦਾ ਮੇਲ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੂਆ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਗਿਆ। ਮਾਤਾ ਪਰੀਤਮ ਕੌਰ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ, " ਪੁਤ! ਸੇਮਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਬਈ ਦੀਪ ਕਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਗੜਬੜ ਕੀਤੀ ਆ,ਇਕ ਦੋ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਗਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਫਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਵੜਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੀ ਰਹੀ,ਉਦਣ ਛਪਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੇਲਾ ਸੀ,ਪੁਲਿਸ ਉਥੋਂ ਆਉਣੀ ਸੀ,ਇਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੀ ਬਈ ਸੇਮਾ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਫਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਨੰਬਰ ਬਣਾ ਲਾਂਗੇ,ਪਰ ਕਰਨੀ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ,ਉਹ ਬਚ ਗਿਆ,ਵਧੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ,ਫਿਰ ਦੀਪ ਨੇ ਖੇਡ ਖੇਡੀ,ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ ਦਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਨਾ,ਉਹਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚਦੀ ਗੋਲ਼ੀ ਕੱਢਲੀ ਬਈ ਪੁਲਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਦੂੰ ਕਿ ਸੇਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰ ਗਿਆ,ਪਰ ਪੁਲਸ ਛੱਡਦੀ ਆ ਗੱਲ,ਉਹਨੇ ਆਉਣ ਸਾਰ ਇਹ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਲੇ। ੮ ਕੁ ਵਜੇ ਇਧਰ ਆਏ ਪੁਲਸੀਏ,ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਲੈਕੇ ਚਲੇ ਗੇ,ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ੧੧ ਕੁ ਵਜੇ ਛਾਪਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਇਹਦੇ ਬਾਪੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਗੇ"।

ਜਗਰਾਂਓ ਲਿਜਾਕੇ ਕਮਿਕਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਡ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਰੀਤਮ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਸੀਏ ਇਕ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੇ ਗਏ,ਜਿਥੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ-ਬੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਉਹ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ।ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਨਾ ਪਈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕੌਣ ਨੇ ਪਰ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਤੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ , "ਅਸੀ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਵਕਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਹਾਂ" ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸਨ ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਡ ਅੱਡ ਥਾ ਤੋਂ ਫੜਕੇ ਇਥੇ ਕੈਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਮੀਰ ਮੰਨੂੰ ਦੀ ਕੈਦ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਹੋਈ ਪਈ ਸੀ

"ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਪੁਲਸੀਏ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਘਰੋਂ ਲੈ ਆਏ,ਰੇਲਵੇ ਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲ ਇਕ ਗੱਡੀ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ,ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਬਹਿਜਾ,ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ,ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣਾ,ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਥੇ ਈ ਛੱਡ ਆਓ,ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਅੜ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਗੱਡੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁਤ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਤੋਂ ਕਹਾਇਆ।ਐਨੇ ਚਿਰ ਬਾਦ ਪੁਤ ਦੀ ਵਾਜ ਸੁਣੀ," ਬੀਬੀ ਆਜਾ" ਮੈਂ ਗੱਡੀ ਵਿਚ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਸੀਗੇ।ਫੇਰ ਭਾਈ ਲ਼ੈਗੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਤੇ,ਦੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਰੱਸਾ ਟੰਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ,ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਬਈ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਏਸ ਰੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਮਕਾਉਣਗੇ।ਮਨ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਕਰਾਂ,ਬਈ ਭਾਣਾ ਉਹਦਾ! ਉਥੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅੱਡ ਅੱਡ ਥਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਤਾ।ਊਂ ਇਕ ਮੋਰੀ ਵਿਚਦੀ ਦਿਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਥੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦੇ –ਕੁਟਦੇ ਸੀ। ਉਥੇ ਇਕ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸੀ,ਇਕ ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸੀ ਜੀਹਨੇ ਸੇਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਜਿੰਮਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ,ਇਕ ਪਿੰਡੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਸੀ ਬਲਜੀਤ, ਇਕ ਰਾਏਕੋਟ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਿੰਝਲ਼ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਸਿਹੁੰ।ਇਕ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆ,ਏਹਨਾਂ ਬੁਚੜਾਂ ਨੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਮੁਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਲਦੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪੁਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੇਰਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ," ਬੀਬੀ ਲੈ ਚੱਲੇ,ਹੁਣ ਨੀ ਛੱਡਦੇ" ਨਾਲੇ ਕਹੇ ਕਿ ਬੀਬੀ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰਦੀਪ (ਦੋਹਤਾ)ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦਾ ਪੁਤ ਬਣਾਲੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਮੋਰੀ ਵਿਚਦੀ ਦੇਖਿਆ,ਹਾਲ-ਪਾਅਰਿਆ ਪਾਈ,ਉਧਰੋਂ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਦੀ ਦੋਹਾਈ ਸੁਣੇ," ਬੀਬੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁਤ ਚੱਲਿਆ" ਪਿੰਕੀ ਕੈਟ ਘੜੀਸਕੇ ਲੈਕੇ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।ਆਹ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਚਾਹਲ ਆ,ਇਹਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਪੇੜਾਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਕੇ ਪਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ। ਕਹਿੰਦਾ,ਚੁਪ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਹਿਜਾ ਨਹੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਭਰੋਵਾਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਨਹਿਰ ਚ ਰੋੜ ਦਿਆਂਗੇ" ਬੱਸ ਫੇਰ ਲੈ ਗਏ,ਕਈ ਦਿਨੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਤਾ"

ਡੇਢ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਰੀਤਮ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਨਰਕ ਦੇਖਿਆ।

ਜਿਦਣ ਇਹ ਭਾਣਾ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ,ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਗਗੜੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਕੋਲ ,ਸੇਮ ਦੀ ਪੁਲੀ ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ "ਚਾਰੇ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਖਾੜਕੂ"ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਖਬਰ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਭਾਈ ਤਰਸੇਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਉਂਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਭੂਆ ਕੋਲ ਡੱਲੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਗਿਆ । ਮਾਤਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, " ਉਹ ਰੋਂਦਾ ਫਿਰੇ,ਕਹਿੰਦਾ," ਮੈਂ ਭੂਆ ਪੱਟਤੀ,ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਗਿਆ ਚੌਂਕੀਮਾਨ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਭੂਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਗਈ,ਤਾਂਹੀ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ।ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ"

"ਮਗਰੋਂ ਪੁਤ ਮੈਂ ਚੰਡੀਗੜੋਂ ਰਾਜਪੂਤ ਵਕੀਲ ਤੋਂ ਕੇਸ ਕਰਵਾਤਾ ਇਨਾਂ ਬੁਚੜਾਂ ਤੇ।ਜਦ ਇਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਮਨ ਆਏ,ਫਿਰਨ ਭੱਜੇ।ਵਿਚੇ ਚਾਹਲ,ਵਿਚੇ ਪਿੰਕੀ,ਵਿਚੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਲਖਬੀਰ ਸੀਗਾ,ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਲਿਖਾਤੇ।੨-੩ ਸਾਲ ਕੇਸ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਪਟਿਆਲੇ ਸੀ.ਬੀ.ਆਈ ਦੇ। ਪਰ ਜੱਜ ਤਾਂ ਆਪ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਵੇ, "ਦੱਸ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਨੇ" ਇਨਸਾਫ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ ,ਦੱਸ ਮੈਂ ਪੁਤ ਦੇ ਹੱਡ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੰਦੀ! ਇਥੇ ਆਜਿਆ ਕਰਨ,ਇਹ ਪੁਲਸ ਵਾਲੇ,ਕਿਹੜਾ ਨੀ ਆਇਆ,ਸਾਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਚੱਕਕੇ ਆਜਿਆ ਕਰਨ,ਅਖੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਲੈ ਤੇ ਗੱਲ ਨਬੇੜ!ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਆਹੀ ਸੁਨੇਹੇ ਲਵਾਈ ਜਾਣ। ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ," ਨਾਲੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਮਾਰਤਾ,ਹੁਣ ਪੈਸੇ ਚੱਕੀ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਓਂ?ਪੈਸੇ ਕੀ ਕਰਨੇ ਆਂ! ਟੈਮ ਪਾਸ ਹੋਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ।ਜਾਓ"

"ਪੁਤ! ਹੁਣ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਈ ਜਾਂਨੇ ਆਂ,ਆਂਢ-ਗੁਆਂਢ ਚੰਗਾ,ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦੁਖ-ਸੁਖ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਸਾਡਾ,ਬਾਕੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ! ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਨੀ ਆਂ ਪੁਤ,ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਣ ਵੀ ਆ,ਉਨਾਂ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਮੈਂ?ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਡੈਣ ਆਂ ਜੋ ਪੁਤ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੰਦੀ? ਪੈਸੇ ਨਹੀ ਲਏ,ਪਰ ਸਮਝ ਆਗੀ ਬਈ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਨਹੀ ਮਿਲਣਾ,ਸਾਰੇ ਰਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੇ,ਫਿਰ ਗਵਾਹ ਮੁਕਰਗੇ,ਕੇਸ ਬਹਿ ਗਿਆ। ਹੁਣ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਆਂ ਪੁਤ?"

ਮਾਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਗੂਹੜਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ,ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਈ ਹਨੇਰ ਹੋਵੇ।ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰੋਂ ਆਉਦਿਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਕਿ ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਚਾਹਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈਜੀਵਨੀ ਲਿਖੀ ਆਂ, " ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ"..ਇਸ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਝੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਚਾਹਲ ਇਕ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ,ਗਲਤ ਕੰਮ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ,ਝੂਠੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਨਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਅਫਸਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਰੀਤਮ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਚੌਕੀਮਾਨ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਚਾਹਲ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਕੁ ਈਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਅਫਸਰ ਹੈ!ਹੋਰ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਕੁ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਰਾਗ ਬੁਝਾਏ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਕਿਤਾਬ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੜਾ ਵਧੀਆ-ਵਧੀਆ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ,ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਖਾਪੜਖੇੜੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਭੋਲੇ ਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਬਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਈ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਹਾਨੇ ਸੱਚ-ਪੁਤ ਬਣਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਜਗਰਾਂਓ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਨੇ!

ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਕੋਈ ਫੋਨ ਨੰਬਰ ਹੈਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਲਿਖਾ,ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਗੱਲ ਈ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਆ,ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਆ,ਉਹੀ ਪੁਛ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਮਾਤਾ! ਘੁਮਾਣ ਕੰਮ ਸਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਕਿ ਨਹੀ? ਮਾਤਾ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ,ਹਾਂ ਪੁਤ,ਆਹ ਫੋਨ ਹੈਗਾ," ੦੧੬੨੪-੬੯੫੯੬੭"

ਮੈਂ ਅੰਬਰਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਲੁਧਿਆਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਰੇਲ ਗੱਡੀ ਫੜ੍ਹਨੀ ਸ਼ੀ,ਠੰਡ ਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਤੇਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਧ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ, ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਫਿਰ ਰੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ,ਕਹਿੰਦੀ," ਪੁਤ ,ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਸੀ ਨਾ,ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਉਥੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ,ਬਈ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਲਹਾਓ' ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਲੰਗਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਈ ਤਾਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਕ ਜਵਾਨ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਵੇਹੜੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਨਰੜਕੇ,ਕੁਟਕੇ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਪਿਆ,ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਉਥੇ ਈ ਚੱਕਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ,ਫਿਰ ਇਨਾਂ ਪੁਲਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਸੱਦਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਵਾਈ ਦਿਵਾਈ,ਪੁਤ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਦਿਖਦਾ,ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀ ਉਹਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਬੀਤੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਆਂ?"

ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਮਾਂ,ਇਥੇ ਹਜਾਰਾਂ ਪੁਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਇਆ,ਘਰਾਂ ਚੋਂ ਫੜਕੇ,ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਫੜ੍ਹਕੇ,ਬੱਸਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲਾਹਕੇ ,ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿਚੋ ਲਿਜਾਕੇ ਕੁਟ-ਕੁਟ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣੇ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਕਹਿ ਦੇਣਾ ਕਿ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ"

ਰੇਲ ਗੱਡੀ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਬਰਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਂਉਦਿਆਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਅੱਖ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ। ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਹ ਨਰੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਹਨੂੰ ਰੱਜਕੇ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਦਿਤੇ ਗਏ ਸੀ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਾਕਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ, "ਬਚਾਈਂ ਬਾਈ"ਹੜਬੜਾਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਠ ਪਿਆ। ਗੱਡੀ ਜਲ਼ੰਧਰ ਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਸੀ।ਮੇਰਾ ਸਫਰ ਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਸੀ,ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵੱਲ……ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀ ਕਦੋਂ ਮੁਕੇਗਾ ਸਫਰ!!!!

ਜੂਨ ੧੯੮੪ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੂਝਕੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਜਦ ਦਲ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਨੈ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਅ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆਂ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਬਹਾਨੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਸੂਰਬੀਰਾਂ ਦੈ ਘਰੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦੁਆਰ ਮਰੇ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਉਣਾ-ਜਾਣਾ ਸਫਲ ਕਰ ਗਏ। ੨੦੦੫ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਸੱਵਲੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਦਲ਼ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਘੱਲੂਘਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਮਾਰਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਤੋਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਖਿਝੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੰਤ ਭਿੰਡਰਾਂਵਾਲੇ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਆ,,੮ ਜੂਨ ੨੦੦੫ ਨੂਮ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਕਨਸੋਆਂ ਮਿਲਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈਆਂ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਪਟਿਆਂਲੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ..ਇਸ ਖਬਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਚਰਚਾ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਰਹੀ,ਉਸੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ,ਪੁਲਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਧਾੜ ਨੇ ਦਲ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਦਫਤਰ ਤੇ ਛਾਪਾ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਆਗੂ ਕੰਵਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ..੩ ਦਿਨ ਮਾਲ ਮੰਡੀ ਬੁਚੜਖਾਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਕੱਟਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਜੇਲ ਭੇਜ ਦਿਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਥੇ ਸਾਡੇ ੪ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਥੀ ਵੀ ਸਨ,,ਫਿਰ ਗਰਮੀਆਂ-ਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਜੇਲ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਾਰੇ ਲਏ..ਅੰਦਰ ਬੈਠਿਆਂ ਸਦਾ ਇਹੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਚੱਲਦੀਆਂ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰੀ ਜਰੂਰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ..ਜੇਲੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਕੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਕੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ..ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਦੋਸਤ ਗੁਰਪਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੁਲਾਂਪੁਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ,ਉਹਦੇ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ…ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਯਾਰ ਗੁਰਪਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੱਬਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਭਾ ਜੇਲ ਵਿਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਹੈ ਜਦਕਿ ਮੈਂ ੨੦੦੭ ਤੋਂ ੨੦੧੦ ਤੱਕ ਨਾਤਭਾ ਜੇਲ ਰਹਿਕੇ ਬਰੀ ਹੋਗਿਆਂ ਹਾਂ,,,ਖੈਰ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰੀ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਹਾਲ,ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਚ ੯ ਜੂਨ ੨੦੦੬ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ,,ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸੱਦਕੇ ਅਸੀ,ਉਾਂਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ-ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ,,ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਤੋਂ ਹਰ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਮੈਂ ਬੋਲਿਆ.ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ੬ ਘੰਟੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਗਤ ਇਕ ਇਕ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਦੇ ਵੇਰਵੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਸਹਿਤ ਸੁਣਦੀ ਰਹੀ,,ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਹਤਰੀਨ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ..ਮਗਰੋਂ ਭਾਈ ਦਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ,ਭਾਈ ਨਰੈਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀਰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਲਿਖ ਵੀ..ਇਹ ਲੇਖ,"ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰੀ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬਣੀ?" ਦੇ ਅਨੁਵਾਨ ਹੇਠ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ," ਜੁ ਲਰੈ ਦੀਨ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ" ਵਿਚ ਛਪ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ…

ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰੀ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਮੌਕੇ ਬੜੇ ਤਜ਼ਰਬੇ ਹੋਏ..ਇਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਭਰਾ ਵੀ ਟੱਕਰਿਆਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ," ਜੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਪੱਟਤਾ ਉਹਨੇ.ਹੁਣ ਬਾਦਲ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਥ ਮਿਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਕੇ ਸਾਹ ਅਇਆ" ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਗਲਾਸ ਟੇਬਲ ਤੇ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨੋਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਗਿਆ,ਜਦ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਸੀ,ਉਹਨੂੰ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਸੱਦਾ ਪੱਤਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਕਿ ਆ ਦੇਖ,ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਯੋਧੇ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਹੈ? ਇਸ ਰੱਜੇ-ਪੁਜੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਚੁਭੀਆਂ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਭਾਈ ਅਜਾਇਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਹਾਂਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿਆ,,ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਫਿਰੋਜਪੁਰ ਜਿਲੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿਸਹਾਏ ਦੇ ਥਾਣੇਦਾਰ ਬਿਛੂ ਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਠੋਕਿਆ ਸੀ। ਬਿਛੂਰਾਮ ਨੈ ਇਕ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਦਾਹੜੀ ਮੁੰਨਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ, "ਜਾਹ! ਝਾਕੇ ਭਿੰਡਰਾਂਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਦੇ,ਕਰ ਲਵੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੁਛ ਕਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਉਹਤੋਂ"…ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ੧੯੮੩ ਦੇ ਅਪਰੈਲ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਆ,,ਬੱਸ ਫਿਰ ਕੀ ਸੀ,ਜਦ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਟੇਜ ਤੋਂ ਕਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਅਜਾਇਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੱਖੋਪੁਰ, ਭਾਈ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੂਹ, ਭਾਈ ਰਸਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਰਫਕੇ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਹਰਸਹਾਏ ਪੁਜੇ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਣੇਦਾਰ ਦਾ ਡੰਡਾ ਡੁੱਕ ਦਿਤਾ..੧੮ ਦਸੰਬਰ ੧੯੮੩ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਰੇਡੀਓ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਬਰਾਂ ਸਨ, " ਗੁਰੁ ਹਰਸਹਾਏ ਦੇ ਥਾਣੇਦਾਰ ਬਿਛੂਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ੩ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਹਲਾਕ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।"

ਜਦ ਇਸ ਭਾਈ ਅਜਾਇਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਹਾਂਕਾਲ਼ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੱਚਾ ਘਰ,ਸ਼ਤੀਰੀਆਂ ਲਮਕਣ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਣੇ ਲਿਬੜੇ-ਤਿਬੜੇ,,ਜਦ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਚੱਲੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਦੀ ਭਰਾ-ਭਰਜਾਈ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਭਾਵੁਕ ਹੋਗੇ। ਮੇਰਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਸੀ," ਵੀਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਸੀ,ਨਿਆਣੇ?"ਭਰਜਾਈ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ," ਵੀਰਾ,ਕਿਥੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਹਦਾ,ਮੇਰਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਇਆ,ਪਰ ਉਹਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫਤਾਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਕਰਦਾ, ਮੇਰਾ ਤਾਂ ਦਿਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਕਿ ਹਾਏ ਮੈ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਸਕਦੀ,ਪਰ ਕਿਸਮਤ,,ਜੇ ਉਹਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ,ਨਿਆਣੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਥੇ ਆਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਰੁਖੀ-ਮਿੱਸੀ ਖਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਆਂ,ਉਹ ਵੀ ਖਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੇ।ਆਖਰ ਨੂਮ ਸਾਰੀ ਚੀਜ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਦਾ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਆ"….ਮੈਂ ਰੋਣਹਾਕਾ ਹੋਗਿਆਂ ਕਿ ਖਿਥੈ ਆਹ ਲੋਕ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਰਾ ਦਾ ਹਿਸਾ ਮੰਨੀ ਬੈਠੇ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਉਹ ਕੋਠੀ-ਕਾਰ ਵਾਲਾ,ਜਿਹੜਾਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਜੀ ਪੱਟਤਾ ਉਹਨੇ! ਤੇਰੇ ਰੰਗ ਨਿਆਰੇ!

Portrait of Sardar Satnam Singh of the Dal Khalsa, who hijacked a plane in 1981 in protest of the arrest of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale for the alleged murder of the Hindu RSS newspaper editor Lala Jagat Narain.
Lala Jagat Narain was the owner of a newspaper called Jag Bani. He was killed off for writing three articles in his newspaper to the effect that Guru Gobind Singh consorted with prostitutes and was sexually depraved. After his death his son took over the leadership of the newspaper and carried on with the same virulently anti-Sikh policy. He too was also killed off. During the Sikh insurgency from 1980 to 1995, the Indian Government afforded extra-ordinary special privileges to the newspaper so that it could keep on publishing incendiary articles against Sikhs (from the very heartland of the Sikhs in Jullunder). The newspaper office in Jullandar were like an army cantonment.
The team of hijackers was led by Sardar Gajinder Singh who was the author of the political tractus: Five Arrows More (an allusion to the five arrows given by Guru Gobind Singh to Banda Bahadur in the jungles of Nandehr).

India's Finance Minister referred to the financial aid given by Britain to his country as nothing more than 'peanuts', it is claimed.
It is also claimed that Pranab Mukherjee and other Indian ministers tried to reject the money - around £280million a year - from the UK in 2011, but the British Government 'begged' them to take the money.
The Sunday Telegraph claims that the Indian government were disposed to reject the money in April last year, because of the 'negative publicity of Indian poverty' highlighted by the aid.

According to official transcripts, MrMukherjee said: 'We do not require the aid. It is a peanut in our totaldevelopment exercises.'
Figures show India's economy is booming - and may eclipse Britain's economy within the next decade.

The row over aid to a booming country was exacerbated by the news last week that French firm Dassault Rafale was selected as the preferred bidder to supply 126 military jets to the Indian air force.
Itwas hoped the £13billion deal would be given to the UK - with Government officials claiming the £1billion of aid paid out to India over the last five years would help win the investment.

The British bid, by BAE Systems, which builds the Eurofighter Typhoon jet, was consigned to second place.

International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell said in December that Britain’s controversial foreign aid programme was partly designed to win the bid.
The aid package is 15 times larger than the £18million France sent to India in 2009.
Asked to justify Indian aid last year, Mr Mitchell said: 'It's a very important relationship. The focus is also about seeking to sell Typhoon.'
The decision was also a setback for David Cameron, who visited India in 2010 with six Cabinet ministers and around 60 businessmen to try to establish Britain as the ‘partner of choice’ for India.

Indian officials said Dassault emerged in front because the Rafale jet was ‘much cheaper unit-wise’ than the Eurofighter.

It was reported that Dassault slashed its price demands to ensure the deal was done.
One Indian defence ministry source said: ‘The Indian air force, which is well-equipped with French fighters, is favouring the French.’ The Rafale jets will replace India’s ageing fleet of Russian MiGs.
According to financial advisers Merrill Lynch, India has 153,000 dollar-millionaires — a 20 per cent rise in a year, compared with Britain’s own paltry increase of less than 1 per cent.
Such is the economic power of India that it now gives out more foreign aid than it receives, and has handed over £3.5billion to cement relations with impoverished Africa.
Meanwhile, it invests huge sums in ambitious projects: £2billion will put the first Indian astronauts into space by 2016, and the annual defence budget tops £22billion, with a third aircraft carrier now under construction in an Indian shipyard.

Another Sikh Farmer Tragically Commits Suicide In Panjab !

Batala ,(3 feb,Sukhdev Randhawa):- A farmer reportedly in debt of Rs 80 thousand committed suicide by hanging himself at his farm in Teja Veehla village.
The farmer, Baljinder Singh (30), hanged himself in the tube-well room of his farm late last night . Some villagers detected him hanging on the Guarder in tube-well room . He was declared dead by doctor.
Baljinder is survived by two kids and wife. had taken a loan of Rs 40 thousand form cooperative society and Rs 35 thousand from the aartia (commission agent ). He had only two acres of land and could not arrange the money. According to neighbors he was mentally upset for last many days . he was looking for some job but could not succeed .
The body was later handed over to family members after a post-mortem examination at the Batala civil hospital.the police registered a case under Sections 174.

Media War against Sikhs – Indian media’s falsehood exposed once again

Amritsar, Punjab (January 30, 2012): Indian media was reporting since last two months that Pro-Khalistan Sikh leaders, allegedly hiding somewhere in Pakistan, were planning to trigger blasts to halt election process in Punjab. This falsehood was exposed as nothing of the sort happened in Punjab today, rather there are reports of some local clashes between supporters of “mainstream” political parties. These “mainstream” political parties indulged in distribution of cash, liquor, poppy husk, opium and other intoxicants to lure voters.

Media was reporting that there were firm inputs available with Intelligence agencies of India that Sikh militants hiding in Pakistan with support of Pakistan’s agency ISI were planning to trigger blasts on public places and target “prominent” persons, including some politicians and sect-heads.

This is not the first time that falsehood of Indian Media’s propaganda is exposed, rather it is now turning to be a thing of routine occurrence in Punjab.

In November 2009 on the eve of 25th anniversary of genocidal violence against Sikhs, Sikh bodies were organizing one day shut down on of 3rd November (2009). A prominent Punjabi newspaper claimed to possess the copy of “top secret” communication, alleged to have taken place between Senior officer of Intelligence Bureau (IB) of India and Ministry of Home Affairs (Government of India – GOI). The news report warned that despite the repeated assurances and claims made by Sikh bodies that the shut down would be peaceful, there was enough input available with the IB that Sikh militants hiding in Pakistan would trigger incidents of bomb blasts and public shooting on the 25th anniversary of November 1984 violence against Sikhs.

When the Sikh Siyasat contacted the journalist said to have reported the concerned news report, admitted that even he did not believe that November 3, 2009 shutdown would witness any sort of violence. He said it was policy of his newspaper to carry such reports and it was him employment compulsion to fabricate such stories.

These highly sensitive news reports accusing Sikhs for plotting to hit public with violence are published by Indian media on a routine basis, whenever Punjab is engaged in some process of political importance, such as mass mobilization by Sikhs (to mark ghallughaha or holocaust day or public movement against anti-Sikh activities of certain State patronized cults), SGPC elections or assembly elections etc.

Independent observers told “Sikh Siyasat” that this was part of media-war against the Sikhs and their cause. Such news contents, when published repeatedly on selective occasions, serve a specific purpose of terrorizing the people of Punjab. This way the State projects Pro-Independence Sikhs as a threat to public safety and tries to discredit them and at the same time presents a very negative image of the cause of proposed Sikh State or Khalistan.

Another political observers was of the view that it was not a random phenomena rather an effective tool of psychological warfare initiated by the Indian state against the Sikhs.

Respected Prime Minister, As Punjab goes to the polls on Jan 30, the political landscape of the state is devoid of issues and concerns. All parties in a fray are resorting to populism of the worst kind, mocking the population of the state. A proud Punjabi people, believing in “Kirat” –honestly doing one’s duty to earn a living, have been reduced to holding the begging bowl for freebies and largesse from a state whose fiscal policies are teetering on creating and fostering systems of inequitable distribution of wealth, loot of natural resources and more expenditure on defence than health and education.

Below is the full text of the memo:

Respected Dr. Manmohan Singh

Prime Minister of India

Sardar Sahib jio,

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa. Waheguru ji ki Fateh.

We congratulate “you” and “your people” on “your country’s” Republic Day (26^th January). Two years from now, you will go down in history as the Prime Minister of India who has had two tenures in a row, a Prime Minister of impeccable honesty and personal integrity and in some eyes a Prime Minister who was tied down by personal loyalty to Congress president Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and the politics of a lame-duck coalition government.

You are a Prime Minister who has a Sikh face, who visits Darbar Sahib, Amritsar on New Year day to seek Waheguru’s blessings, and who became Prime Minister notwithstanding the fact that the Sikhs in India and the Diaspora, even in their wildest dreams would not have thought of a Sikh as a Prime Minister. However, their “celebration” of a Sikh Prime Minister began and ended there.

While you unfurl the Indian tricolour on the ramparts of the Red Fort, we cannot but recall that the Sikh nation, under the leadership of Dal Khalsa chieftain Baba Baghel Singh had unfurled the Sikh National Flag from the same spot in 1783. We cherish that legacy.

Today, India as a land of injustice, a land which for the last 65 years has left no stone unturned to let the Sikhs know that they are only a small tiny minority and nothing more.

Chapter after chapter can be written about the alienating role of the Indian state. Constitutionally, Sikhism is not even a separate religion; leave alone the recognition of Sikhs as a nation. Legally, we have to marry, adopt and own property as members of Hindu religion under ‘Hindu Marriage Act’; Sikhs do not have their own personal laws.

Since 1966, you and your party could not give Punjab its capital or a High Court. The land rights of the people of Punjab have been left unresolved.

For decades, in violation of the riparian principle there is a continuous loot of our water wealth. The river waters dispute is still unresolved and now the State wants to either abrogate water rights to the Union of India or give it to multi-national companies. In the last many years, we have been burnt alive on the streets of this country without recourse to justice. Our human rights have been violated with impunity.

Religiously, our Gurdwaras are administered under the provisions of an Act, which is deliberately allowed to have flaws, so that the state can play with it as it deems fit –do you know that the elections to the SGPC were concluded in September 2010 and the house has not yet been constituted?

As Punjab goes to the polls on Jan 30, the political landscape of Punjab is devoid of issues and concerns. India today is an opportunistic state, whose secularism has been sacrificed many a time at the altar of the needs of the political parties and their leaders. Our sensitivity and sensibilities are under attack all the time. We see no real future for our people.

We reinforce and reiterate that the Sikhs are a sovereign people. We are wedded to the ideal, “A Sikh is either a sovereign or a rebel.” Dal Khalsa will continue its work for fulfillment of the rightful political aspirations of the Sikh people through the right to self-determination.

Hon’ble Ambassador:

We are distressed to note that instead of taking a stand against the unwanted, unnecessary reference to the holiest of holy Darbar Sahib, aka the Golden Temple by NBC commentator Jay Leno, the US government has officially defended the comments. Dal Khalsa strongly believes that ‘freedom of speech/expression’ is not a license to offend.

Obviously, like many other things, this shows the crass insularity of the West towards the sentiments of others. Undoubtedly, we live in a world torn down by national barriers, but the commentator and its employers, the NBC, must note that we live in a pluralistic world order and that we need to be sensitive to people’s beliefs and feelings. In the present case, it is not a question of feelings of one person that has been hurt, but a reference to Darbar Sahib-the Vatican of the Sikhs, has deeply hurt the sentiments of the entire Sikh community, including Sikh-Americans.

A peaceful world order –the proclaimed aim of the American government cannot be built on hate or irreverence hinging on blasphemy. We are unwilling to believe that this is out of ignorance and if it is, this ignorance is too profound to be ignored by the community which is at the receiving end. To dub it is a satire as has been done by your government is to further add fuel to the fire. It is nothing but another cruel joke on the Sikhs. What would have been the reaction of practising Christians if the reference was to the Vatican instead of the Golden Temple?

Jay Leno, has made snide remarks earlier also like, calling the Sikhs –‘diaper-heads’ in 2007 and spreading falsehood of “turban being compulsory to enter the Golden Temple” when President Barack Obama was to visit India in 2010.

Sikh Diaspora will continuously campaign till Jay Leno and the NBC apologises and the American govt regrets its defense of the comedian.

In India, cow's urine is powerful stuff.
It cures cancer, heals injuries, and wins elections. Or so says the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The party has already touted the benefits of cow dung – it blocks radiation, saves houses from earthquakes, and leaps tall buildings in a single bound (with the aid of a powerful catapult) – in the central state of Madhya Pradesh. But now it's looking to the yellow stuff to woo voters in the northern state of Uttarakhand.
What gives?
If re-elected to power, the BJP will encourage the production of filtered cow urine, as well as build shelters for ageing and sick cattle, according to the Hindustan Times.

The party’s Uttarakhand in-charge and national general secretary, Thawarchand Gehlot, detailed the uses cow urine would be put to: “Gau Mootra is filtered and cleaned to produce a concentrated juice called ‘ark’. This helps cure various diseases from cancer to injuries.”

The Independent's Andrew Buncombe says it's an acquired taste: "Just the smallest sip was enough to trigger a flurry of different associations – burning grass, petrol, Laphroaig whisky, rancid sourness – that produced a vile gustatory overload."
But it's hard to knock the espoused benefits:

“Cow urine also helps produce medicines for the treatment of eye and ear diseases.” The urine can also be dried to produce tablets, Gehlot said, adding yoga guru Baba Ramdev in Uttarakhand and Kamal Kishore Nagar in Madhya Pradesh have made medicines from cow urine.

Last week, the BJP confirmed that apart from its extensive medical benefits, cow dung is “the abode of the goddess Lakshmi” (who brings wealth). The Hindustan Times was on top of that one, too:

“Cow dung is the abode of goddess Lakshmi,” said the party's central cow development cell on Friday. And this was not all.
“The urine of the cow is the abode of the Ganges,” the release went on. “Cow dung is a purifier of impurities…. The cow and cow dung are lifelines of the nation. If the cow survives, the nation will survive. That is why we refer to the cow as 'mother cow' and 'mother of the whole world'.”

Note: The BJP has a central cow development cell.
Why does that matter? Apart from propagating superstitions unfounded in scientific research (Yet! I said Yet! Don't touch that tweet button!), the campaign confirms that the party's links to the more extreme wings of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) “family” have not been broken – whatever claims some may make about the BJP gradually transforming itself into India's equivalent to America's Republican party.
And those RSS guys? Well, they don't exactly run around wearing white sheets and burning crosses. They wear khaki shorts and practice military drill with wooden canes. They don't hate Muslims, they just think they should have fewer kids, or act as much like Hindus as possible, or maybe move out of India altogether. They don't exactly idolize Hitler, they just got their theory of Hindu nationalism from his ideas.
However, they are nice to cows.

New Delhi, India: World’s Biggest decomratic country does not like “Freedom of Speech & Expression?”. The Delhi High Court on Thursday warned social networking site Facebook India and search engine Google India that websites can be “blocked” like in China if they fail to devise a mechanism to check and remove objectionable material from their web pages.

“Like China, we will block all such websites,“ Justice Suresh Kait told the counsel for Facebook and Google India. The court asked them to devise a mechanism to keep a check on “offensive and objectionable“ material and remove such content from their web pages.

Despite the HC’s refusal to stay the proceedings before the trial court, the magistrate may not take up the matter on Friday, as the lawyers told Justice Kait that they would not press for an effective hearing. The high court would further hear the case on Monday.

Acting on a complaint by Vinay Rai, the trial court had earlier summoned the representatives of 21 social networking sites, including those of Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo and Youtube. It had directed the centre to take “immediate appropriate steps“ and file a report on January 13.

The court fixed the case for hearing on January 16.

A Google spokesperson said, “We did file a petition before the Delhi High Court. The Court has now issued a notice to the petitioner. We can’t comment further at this stage.”

Earlier, the trial court had summoned the representatives of 21 social networking sites, including those of Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo and Youtube after taking cognizance of a private criminal complaint against the websites. It had also directed the Centre to take “immediate appropriate steps” and also file a report on January 13.

A civil judge had last month ordered the social networking sites to remove all “anti-religious“ or “anti-social“ contents by February 6, 2012.

On behalf of Google India, senior counsel Mukul Rohatgi said it was humanly not possible to filter or monitor the postings of obscene, objectionable and defamatory material.

“Billions of people across the globe, post their articles on the website. Yes, they may be defamatory, obscene but cannot be checked,“ he said.

Drawing a distinction between Google India and its US based holding company Google Inc, Rohatgi said: “The US based Google is the service provider and not me (Google India) and hence, we are not liable for the action of my holding company.“

“Moreover, it is criminal case where a vicarious liability cannot be fastened on a company which has no role, whatsoever, in the alleged offence,“ Rohtagi added.

Another senior advocate NK Kaul assured the court that if the complainant provided defamatory articles to Google India, then it could use “its good office“ in getting them removed by its holding USbased firm.

Barnala, Punjab (January 9, 2012) - Reports from Punjab have confirmed the death of 17 year old Veer Singh ‘Heera’ while in police custody today.

According to Veer Singh’s family, their son was arrested and taken into custody for questioning by Inspector Rajesh Sunehi and 20 others on the afternoon of the 8th. The family claimed that they received no news of his whereabouts until the morning of the 9th when an unknown individual named ‘Mangat Singh’ dropped Veer Singh’s corpse off at the Barnala civil hospital.

Responding to the family’s allegations that Veer Singh was tortured and killed in police custody, Inspector Sunehi plead ignorance. According to the police, the 17 year old youth was taken to a railway station and released the same night of his arrest and suspicious death.

The court appointed magistrate, Jaswant Rai has since taken statements from all parties involved and said that appropriate action would be taken once results from the postmortem report are made public.

The Punjab Police, notorious for it’s human rights violations, was responsible for using brutal methods to crush the Sikh Independence Movement in the 80’s and early 90’s. According to Amnesty International, “thousands of ‘disappearances‘ or extrajudicial executions were allegedly carried out by the police as part of a deliberate policy to eliminate armed opposition groups as well as their supporters.” Despite the end of militancy, extrajudicial executions and disappearances have not stopped in Punjab. The examples of Shaminder Singh Shera and Sohan Singh who were tortured and killed in police custody in 2011 are ample evidence of this fact.

Reacting to the allegations of custodial murder, Moninder Singh, spokesperson of the CSC, demanded that an independent investigation take place to apprehend Veer Singh’s murderers and punish them accordingly. He went on to say that, “corruption, a lack of accountability, and discriminatory policies and tendencies against minorities breed a culture of impunity within India’s security forces. It is this culture that encourages police officers to torture and kill innocent people.”
